United States of America

Undergraduate

Qualification required for undergraduate entry: Entry requirements are different for US-domiciled students and students taking US qualifications in other countries. For an overview, watch the USA UG qualifications briefing 2024.

Entry requirements for US-domiciled students
We require the High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 plus at least one externally assessed qualification (Advanced Placement (AP), SAT II subject test, dual enrolment course) plus two more qualifications from any combination of APs, SAT IIs, dual enrolment courses or Honors classes.

Note that SAT II subject tests were discontinued in 2021.

Any subject-specific requirements must be met with an AP or SAT II.

If the externally-assessed qualification is a dual enrolment course, an interview and written submission must be requested to assess the applicant’s suitability for the chosen course before an offer is made.

Applicants may also present the AICE Diploma, which should be considered holistically alongside other qualifications. Level 2 maths and English requirements must be met from A-levels, SATR or ACT. Please see the AICE Diploma overview for more information about this qualification.

Associate degrees studied over 2 years with 3.0 GPA can also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

For schools making qualification comparisons at Level 2, Grade 12 is equivalent to GCSE. In all states, compulsory subject areas include English/languages, maths, science and social studies. The most common scoring system is a GPA out of 4.0:
A/90% = GPA 4.0
B/80% = GPA 3.0
C/70% = GPA 2.0

Entry requirements for students taking US qualifications in other countries
A minimum of three AP subjects with grades of 4-5. Subject-specific requirements apply.
